The World Music and Independent Film Festival has announced nominations for When The Dragon Swallowed the Sun in four of its award categories. WTD has been nominated for Best Documentary Feature, Best Cinematography, Best Original Sound and Best Director of a Documentary Feature.

Screenings of nominated films will be held August 16 – 19, 2010 at the US Navy Memorial in Washington, DC, and the WMIFF awards ceremony will take place August 21, 2010. Tickets can be obtained at wmiff.com.

When the Dragon Swallowed the Sun will have two screenings at this year’s Tibet Film Festival in London in July. The UK Premiere of WTD, followed by a director Q&A, will take place on July 29 at 7pm at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. The film will also screen as the Festival Closing Film on July 30 at 8:45pm at Ritzy Picturehouse.
